July- We bought a house! it is so nice to actually own. We CAN do whatever we want to the house...i CAN paint a wall. (notice my use of the word "CAN", this does not mean that i have done this...in order to perform this type of acts you have to have money). i daydream about all the things i want to do and hope that one day in the near future i will be able to. Our house came with grass but no other type of landscaping. I will let you in on a little secret we are going to rip the grass up though. Oh, we are going to replant but with better grass and better drainage. it is ALL clay and we wouldn't be able to grow a single thing. Dave always complains that he made the deal that i could do whatever i wanted inside as along as he could do whatever he wanted outside but that just isn't going to work...i may have strayed to the outside. (Again this is all just dreaming of what i want to do, you still have to have money). **Pictures of house later to come.
We also had Dave's sister, Heather's, wedding! The reception was very beautiful and she looked so nice. it was a gathering in a backyard and every detail was thought of. Very tastefully done and as elegant as ever. I am a little bias toward backyard weddings as mine was also and i just love them. It was great to beable to see some people i had not seen in a long time.
August- We lost Dave's wonderful brother, Bryce, to colon cancer. It was such a blessing to be able to spend the last 4 days of his life with him. I can say that it was the most spiritual experience i have ever had and i feel truely blessed to be apart of there strong family.
Bryce Anderson Jenkins
1972 - 2009
Bryce Anderson Jenkins one of the elect of the earth, imaginative, creative, and beloved by all, peacefully passed away at 8:00pm, August 5, 2009 at his home, surrounded by friends and family after a long and courageous battle with colon cancer.
He was born April 4, 1972 in Taylorsville, Utah.
He was a loving and wonderful husband and father as well as a loving son and brother. He loved to gather his family and friends around him and enjoy life. He loved mountains, camping, hiking, skiing, cliff jumping, rock climbing and any other life threatening adventure. He took advantage of life, lived with passion and believed in living in the moment. Bryce touched so many lives and never stopped giving.
He was a successful businessman who was admired and respected by all he met and dealt with. He was a master at developing innovative and creative systems and procedures in his businesses. He could fix or build anything and was known among his friends as MacGyver.
Bryce was instrumental in building three Flowerama stores and a wholesale floral distribution company in the Salt Lake Valley. He also assisted his family and brothers in their farming and ranching operations in Southern Utah and Nevada.
He is survived by his wife Ginger and 4 children Brett (12), Brandon (10), Megan (8) and Miller (1-1/2). He is also survived by his parents, Wayne W. Jenkins, Helen A. Jenkins and brothers and sisters, Taylor Jenkins, Elar Jenkins, Eric Jenkins, Heather Ross, Hanna Jenkins and Scott Jenkins, Tonia Prince, Helena Taylor, David Lee, Annie Lee, Emily Lee and Austin Lee. He was preceded in death by his brother Danny Jenkins at age 5, two infant sisters Lisa Brita and Holly Jenkins and a brother Jonathan Lee 22.
Bryce and Ginger Jenkins were married November 11, 1995 and later sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS temple
We will miss Bryce very much!
After the funeral Dave and I went to buy a dog from a breeder in West Jordan. We bought this sweet little Weimaraner. It was nice to bring her there because after a sad day the kids were able to play with her. There was several of us that went out to dinner and we left the puppy in the care of the kids and Hanna. When we got back the kids had the puppy downstairs wrapped in a blanket like a little baby and layed upon there laps. It was really sweet. We weren't quite sure what to name her and plenty gave there opinion but we decided to go with a name that Dave's brother, Taylor, thought up. We named her Nickle...but trust me she has cost us a ton more than a nickle! :)
September- I quit my job! I use to work at The St. George Jet Center, but now i work from home and help make headbands for my sister, Jana's, business. You can check out her work at www.itsthelittlethingsut.esty.com If anyone knows my sister you will know that anything artistic and she wants to excell, at, she will. So i would advice you to really check it out. Her work is amazing. I love working from home, I can make my own hours, but some days i don't have anything to do so that gets a little boring! Such is life!
I also had my BF, Roby's, wedding. It was at Fish Lake and it was so beautiful. Her 6 months of planning really worked out because the whole weekend turned out so nice. I was very honored to be her maitren of honor. Steven Hatch was the best man and of course she married her handsome husband Zach Bates and there adorable little boy, Carson was the ring berror. Carson I have to say i think stole the show, he looked absolutly adorable in his brown tux and Kenneth Cole shoes. He is so well natured but i think that he was confused as to why his parents were dressed up so nice. He fell asleep in his Aunt Dana's arms and looked just plum adorable.Not to play down how gorgeous Roby looked, She looked just like a princess and her flower girls all looked super cute!
The following day after the wedding was OUR ANNIVERSARY! Yes, you read it correctly, we have been married over a year now. It doesn't seem like it and all i can say is that i am have never been happier. If the rest of my life flies by as quick as this year did, i am going to be very unhappy because i will feel like i didn't get anytime with Dave. I would rather hang out with him than anyone else and i think that is how it is suppose to be. I am so glad that he never gives up on me! I love you Dave!
We also had Brodie's wedding and really this wedding was the funnest wedding i have ever been to. They had a catholic ceremony and i have never been to one before so that was fun to learn something new. The reception was a dance and i danced for like 4 hours straight and was sooo sore the next day...they should renew there vows here shortly, so that we can do it again :)**sorry i don't have any pics of his wedding.

Love it!!! Thanks for the update girl! I am glad to hear that things are going well. We too are doing OK. We sure miss you tons. I am sure someone else has got you for the best neighbor now :( good for them, bad for us. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Good luck with your at home adventures...don't get too bored. You know the cure to boredom is to have a child or two...they keep life exciting!! lol!
I enjoyed browsing through all the beautiful pictures in your post. Please tell Heather congratulations from me. I have always thought she was so beautiful and classy. She was such a gorgeous bride - like you were. Happy anniversary. Robyn's pics were beautiful too. I especially enjoyed seeing the picture of Bryce with his family.
